The South Korea Olympic team was held to a 1-1 draw with China to end the international football tournament China 2015 with a record of 0-2-1.

November 15, 8:30p KST - At the Wuhan Sports Center in China, Olympic team coach Shin Taeyong led the team against hosts China in their final match of the international football tournament China 2015. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Korea scored the opening goal in the 77' only to concede the equalizer eight minutes later to walk away with just a point. The result meant that having drawn with Colombia and China, and lost to Morocco, the team finished bottom of the table at the event. With the next competition being next year's 2016 AFC U-23 Championship (also final qualifying for the Olympics), coach Shin Taeyong will be hoping the painful lessons in China will help them be better prepared.

Korea lined up in a 4-1-4-1 formation against China. Park Inhyeok (FSV Frankfurt) was the lone forward with Ryu Seungwoo (Leverkusen) - Kwon Changhun (Suwon Samsung) - Ji Eonhak (Alcorcon) - Choi Kyoungrok (St. Pauli) in midfield. Park Yongwoo (FC Seoul) was the defensive midfielder. The four-man backline was Shim Sangmin (FC Seoul) - Kim Mintae (Vegalta Sendai) - Yeon Jeimin (Suwon Samsung) - Lee Seulchan (Jeonnam Dragons). Wearing the goalkeeper gloves was Gu Sungyun.

Korea began the game focused on attacking. However, China's defense and goalkeeper were always one step ahead, and blocked each Korean attack. The game became a frustrating affair for Korea, and in the 64' coach Shin Taeyong withdrew Ji Eonhak and put in Lee Yeongjae (Ulsan Hyundai). Coach Shin trusted that Lee Yeongjae would immediately play a part in finding the goal. In the 77' Lee Yeongjae floated in a free kick that was headed into the air by a Chinese defender. However, the ball went to Yeon Jeimin who headed it back in front of goal where Park Yongwoo had the simple task of tapping it in.

China, however, didn't just accept the result. In the 85' they found the equalizer. China crossed from the left side, and Korea headed the ball out of the area. However, Mi Haolun collected the ball and let loose a powerful shot.....
