EAFF East Asian Cup 2013 Preliminary Competition Round 2 Dear All families of the East Asian Football Federation, This year marks the 10th anniversary of the founding of the EAFF. I would like to thank these distinguished members for their efforts and their dedication to support the EAFF. Also, it is my pleasure to hold the second round of the men's competition in Hong Kong as the fruit of your kind support. Allow me first of all to express my thanks to the Hong Kong Football Association and everyone involved on behalf of the member associations, for their leadership in hosting this competition and the hard work. I am sure that the bond of the EAFF is different from other federations. It is on account of our solidarity and almost familial ties. Also, every member association promotes the development of football, and tries hard to build stable relationships through events and competitions. The Australian national team will be participating in this competition for the first time. I am confident that the participation of the Australian national team will not only contribute in leveraging the tournament but will also assist in adding further excitement to the event. Once again, I would like to express a warm welcome to the Australian national team. I believe that each team will do their best with a sense of fair play, and this competition would be a great chance to display the reserved strength of Asian football to football fans all over the world. Taking this opportunity, I would like to acknowledge the hard work of all the member associations. I hope to see you at the final round that is going to be held in Korea Republic in 2013. Chung Yun CHO Hong Kong Football Association Chairman's message Welcome Brian LEUNG |
