EAFF East Asian Cup 2013 Preliminary Competition Round 2
EAFF President's message

Dear All families of the East Asian Football Federation,

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the founding of the EAFF. I would like to thank these distinguished members for their efforts and their dedication to support the EAFF. Also, it is my pleasure to hold the second round of the men's competition in Hong Kong as the fruit of your kind support.

Allow me first of all to express my thanks to the Hong Kong Football Association and everyone involved on behalf of the member associations, for their leadership in hosting this competition and the hard work. I am sure that the bond of the EAFF is different from other federations. It is on account of our solidarity and almost familial ties. Also, every member association promotes the development of football, and tries hard to build stable relationships through events and competitions.

The Australian national team will be participating in this competition for the first time. I am confident that the participation of the Australian national team will not only contribute in leveraging the tournament but will also assist in adding further excitement to the event. Once again, I would like to express a warm welcome to the Australian national team.

I believe that each team will do their best with a sense of fair play, and this competition would be a great chance to display the reserved strength of Asian football to football fans all over the world.

Taking this opportunity, I would like to acknowledge the hard work of all the member associations. I hope to see you at the final round that is going to be held in Korea Republic in 2013.

Chung Yun CHO
President
East Asian Football Federation

Hong Kong Football Association Chairman's message

Welcome

On behalf on the Hong Kong Football Association, I would like to welcome Chinese Taipei, DPR Korea, Guam and Australia to Hong Kong. As the host of this competition, it provides the chance for the local football fans to be treated with a high quality and competitive tournament live in Hong Kong.

Except the three member associations from EAFF - Chinese Taipei, DPR Korea and Guam, Australia has accepted the invitation to join this competition. Even though Australia will mainly rely on the players from Hyundai A-League, there is no doubt about the quality of their team. I am also sure that Hong Kong will be determined to make their mark.

I am grateful to the East Asia Football Association for organizing this competition, and making Hong Kong as the host, and I would also like to thank various sponsors and football fans from local and overseas for their support.

Finally, I wish everybody enjoy their stay in Hong Kong

Brian LEUNG
Chairman
Hong Kong Football Association
