The true star of Japan women’s football (Nadeshiko Japan). Small frame but very skilful and powerful in one on one defensive situations too. Selected as tournament MVP when Japan recently achieved their first ever championship at the East Asian Women’s Football Championship 2008. Was also named that year’s AFC Women’s MVP for the first time in 4 years. Returned to play in the American league after a 6 year absence in January 2009.
