SAMURAI BLUE (Japan National Team) took on Cambodia as part of the 2nd round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, and defeated them 3-0 for their first win in the preliminary round.
Midfielder HONDA Keisuke (AC Milan) scored the opener in the first half as defender YOSHIDA Maya (Southampton FC) and midfielder KAGAWA Shinji (Borussia Dortmund) followed with one goal each.
With the first win in the past five matches since the KIRIN Challenge Cup 2015 against Iraq on 11 June, they are now with four points with the record of one win and one draw in the group E. Cambodia’s total record is three losses in three matches so far.....
