KFA confirmed the squad of the U-22 National Team (temporary coach by Jung Jungyong)
to participate in the AFC U-23 Championship 2018 Qualification.
Total participating entry is 23 players which includes 11 players who participated
in the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2017 KOREA. Players such as Cho Youngwook (Korea University),
Lee Jinhyun (Sungkyunkwan University), Lee Sangmin (Soongsil University) and Song Bumkeum
(Korea University), who played the key roles in each position in the U-20 World Cup have
been selected.
There are seven K-league players including Hwang Inbum (Daejon Citizen) and
Kim Jinya (Incheon United). Few players who were originally expected to be selected
were excluded from the squad due to failure in the negotiation with the pro teams
regarding temporary transfer. There are five players whose age are 22 years old,
the cutting age, 5 players who are 21 years old and there are 13 players who are
under 20 years old.....
