Colonia Del Sacramento: DPR Korea's FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup reign came to an end after the East Asians lost 3-1 to Spain on penalties after their quarter-final finished 1-1 after 90 minutes at the Estadio Alberto Suppici on Saturday.
There wasn't much that separated the two sides in the first half initially, but Spain grew into the match and produced a few chances before the break.
In the 40th minute, captain Eva Navarro broke through on goal and had a one-on-one opportunity but chipped her shot just wide of the Korean net.
