The intriguing Jockey Club International Youth Invitational Football Tournament 2019 entered the final match day on Monday. Hong Kong Under-18 Representative Team tied Vietnam Under-18 National Team 1:1 in the morning, while Hong Kong Under-15 Representative Team suffered a 0:4 defeat on the hands of Malaysia Under-15 National Team.
In the morning’s Under-18 competition, Hong Kong started the game stronger and laid early pressure towards the Vietnam goal. The host kept the pressure coming in the first-half but somehow failed to break down the Vietnam defense, as the score stood goalless heading into the interval.
Ten minutes into the second-half, Vo Nguyen Hoang broke the game open for the visitors and Vietnam was up by a goal. Just when the game looked like it would end in a Vietnam victory, Hong Kong’s Connor Tong found the back of the Vietnam goal through a tight-angle shot, tying the game at 1:1 and rescuing a point for Hong Kong......
