Navi Mumbai: Chinese Taipei head coach Kazuo Echigo has called on his team to seize the opportunity in Sunday’s showdown against Vietnam for a place in the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia/New Zealand 2023.
Echigo’s charges defeated Thailand 3-0 on Friday to set up a mouthwatering clash against Mai Duc Chung’s Vietnam, who secured a 2-0 win against their Southeast Asian rivals on Wednesday.
The teams’ results against Thailand mean Chinese Taipei go into the tie against Vietnam with a better goal difference in the race for the sole remaining automatic qualifying slot to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. .....
