Japan: Kyoto preserve top-flight status
Kyoto Sanga ensured they will be part of the 2023 J1 League after holding on for a 1-1 draw against second-tier outfit Roasso Kumamoto in the relegation playoff final in Kameoka on Sunday. Kyoto only had to avoid a defeat against Kumamoto, who had finished fourth in the second division, to remain in the Japanese top flight.
