Hong Kong: Reigning champions Yokohama F. Marinos suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat at the hands of newly promoted Albirex Niigata in Japan on Sunday meaning that leaders Vissel Kobe extended their advantage at the summit to five points with 13 games played of the campaign.

In Hong Kong, Kitchee SC continued to fill their trophy cabinet with more silverware after a 7-1 win over BC Rangers on Saturday saw them win the FA Cup to add to their Premier League and Senior Shield triumphs this season and complete their fifth treble since 2011.

In China PR, Shanghai Port and Shanghai Shenhua have identical records at the top after seven matches of the season, but it is the former who take the pole position by virtue of scoring more goals.
