On Friday 19 May, the U-19 Japan Women's National Team played the U-19 Panama Women's National Team in their second match of the SUD Ladies Cup 2023 in France, winning 4-0.
The match started with Japan taking the initiative, as SASAI Chinari (Nojima Stella Kanagawa Sagamihara) converted the cross delivered by KASHIMURA Nana (Nippon TV Tokyo Verdy Beleza) to give Japan the lead in the 20th minute. After SAKAKIBARA Kotono (AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies) doubled the lead in the 25th minute, UJIHARA Rihona (Nippon TV Tokyo Verdy Beleza) capitalised on a goalkeeper’s deflection to extend the lead to three goals in the 37th minute.
Despite dictating the pace of the game, Japan struggled to find the back of the net in the second half, until NEBU Momoko (Yamato Sylphid) scored the team’s fourth goal in the 91st minute, as Japan walked away with a comfortable 4-0 victory. .....
