Hong Kong: Yoshinori Muto netted twice as leaders Vissel Kobe defeated FC Tokyo 3-2 on Saturday to extend their unbeaten run to six league games in Japan, but defending champions Yokohama F. Marinos are hot on their heels as Kevin Muscat’s side triumphed over Avispa Fukuoka to remain three points behind.

Unbeaten Chengdu Rongcheng handed Shanghai Shenhua their first defeat of the season in China PR during the midweek, displacing their opponents from second place, but leaders Shanghai Port continue to be in the driver’s seat as they too remain unbeaten in the league and have a game in hand.

Former Newcastle United forward Yoshinori Muto scored a brace as Vissel Kobe edged FC Tokyo 3-2 on Saturday to maintain a three-point lead at the top of the J1 League.
