Seoul: Kiko Seike’s sensational 2023/24 season reached its peak when the Japanese forward was bestowed with the AFC Women’s Player of the Year on Tuesday, October 29, at the AFC Annual Awards Seoul 2023, which took place at the spectacular Grand Peace Palace of the Kyung Hee University.

The formidable striker surpassed Australia’s Cortnee Vine and Korea Republic’s Kim Hye-ri to become the fourth Japanese player, after Homare Sawa, Aya Miyama, and Saki Kumagai to win the prestigious accolade.
