In accordance with the Article 31.1 of the EAFF Statutes (Edition 2023), the EAFF Member Associations were notified on 30 March 2025, that the election of members for the EAFF Executive Committee (remaining term 2022-2026) would be held at the 6th EAFF Extraordinary Congress in Korea Republic on 15 July 2025.

The Member Associations had to submit the nomination of their candidates for the election to the EAFF Executive Committee, as per the requirements set out in the EAFF Statutes ( Edition 2023) and the EAFF Electoral Code (Edition 2023) the following positions:

・One EAFF President
・One EAFF Vice President
・One EAFF Executive Committee Member

Subsequently, the EAFF received the following nominations for the above positions:

・One EAFF President
　Mr. CHUNG Mong Gyu (Korea Republic)

・One EAFF Vice President
　Mr. MIYAMOTO Tsueyasu (Japan)

・One EAFF Executive Committee Member (Chinese Taipei)
　Ms. TAI Hsia Ling

The nominated candidates will now be required to go through an eligibility check conducted by the EAFF Electoral Committee.

In accordance with Article 4.1 of the EAFF Electoral Code (Edition 2023), the EAFF Electoral Committee will be responsible for all tasks relating to the organisation, running and supervision of the elections.

The final list of candidates will be published at the latest 30 days prior to the 6th EAFF Extraordinary Congress as stipulated in Article 31.12 and 37.5 of the EAFF Statutes (Edition 2023) and Article 9.3 of the EAFF Electoral Code (Edition 2023).
