Dhaka: Hong Kong, China edged a fighting Bangladesh 4-3 in a thrilling AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ Qualifiers Final Round Group C match at the National Stadium Dhaka on Thursday.

Bangladesh had fought back from two goals down to draw level but hat-trick hero Raphael Merkies struck deep into added time to move Hong Kong, China to the top of the group on seven points, two ahead of Singapore.

Matt Orr broke free on the left flank in the seventh minute to give the visitors their first look at goal, with his shot zipping past keeper Mitul Marma but going the wrong side of the post. .....
