Led by Head Coach Shin Sangwoo, the women's national team finished second in Group F of the Asian Games women's football tournament to reach the quarterfinals. After a 5-0 rout of Myanmar in their opening group match and a 6-0 win over Bangladesh in their second, the team drew 1-1 with DPR Korea in their final match to secure second place in the group.
In the quarterfinal against Uzbekistan, they came through a high-scoring contest to win 6-3. However, they lost 0-2 to Japan in the semifinal, missing out on a place in the final and dropping into the bronze medal match. .....
