Korea Rep. and Chinese Taipei each made four changes to their starting lineups compared to the last match. The first half stayed balanced without any goals. Near the end of the first half, Korea Rep. had a big chance on the counterattack. Ji So-yun set up left-back Jang Sel-gi for a shot, but Chinese Taipei goalkeeper Wang Yu-Ting made a great save. In the 42nd minute, Korea Rep. made a mistake building from the back, giving Chinese Taipei a chance. They failed to score, but still tested the defense with a shot.

In the 85th minute, Jang Sel-gi scored again with a first-time shot from Kim Hye-ri’s cross. Korea Rep. won 2–0, finishing the tournament with one win and two draws. Thanks to scoring more goals than their rivals, they became E-1 Football Championship winners for the first time in 20 years. A new chapter of history was written at Suwon World Cup Stadium.
