To celebrate the 100th year of the Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA), the Centennial Celebration Dinner was
held on 23 April 2014 (Wednesday) at the Happy Valley Clubhouse, the Hong Kong Jockey Club. The Hon C Y LEUNG,
GBM, GBS, JP, Chief Executive of the Government of the HKSAR, Mr. Joseph S. Blatter, President of FIFA, Shaikh
Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, President of AFC and Mr. Tsang Tak Sing, GBS, JP, Secretary for Home Affairs of the
Government of the HKSAR were invited as the officiating guests.


HKFA was established in 1914, and it has 100 years of history. Our Mission is to further enhance the Hong Kong
Football development and to achieve the highest possible standards of football at all levels. On the evening of 23
April 2014, there were over one hundred participants, including senior representatives from FIFA, the AFC and nine
Member Associations together with observers from other Asian countries, the representatives from the Government
of the HKSAR and the people of the community. They were entertained with free-style football and magic show,
adding flavor to the fun-filled evening.
