A capacity crowd of 6,326 in Mongkok Stadium on Thursday evening saw Hong Kong took a positive step towards the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia by defeating the visiting Bhutan 7:0 in Group C of the Preliminary Competition Round 2.
Hong Kong dominated possession right from the very first whistle and took the game straight towards Bhutan. The home side almost opened the score on the 10th minute when Lam Ka-wai’s floating cross from the left-side was headed back by teammate Lo Kwan-yee inside the Bhutan box. Xu Deshuai stepped up to the loose ball and blasted a thunderous shot towards goal, forcing out a superb save by the Bhutan keeper.........
