I believe we prepared well through the practice sessions and meetings at the second training camp in Okinawa prior to the qualifiers. The players stayed motivated and were in excellent spirits. When I was cutting the list of players down to 25 for the final training camp, what I valued was the ability to show off their strengths from the beginning and share the unity, as the qualifiers are short and vital. I also considered each player’s condition as well.

With only a limited time to go before the final qualifying round, we’ll just focus on getting ready. Although the team’s current condition is good, we cannot be off our guard....
