Korea U-16 national team’s journey has ended after 3 matches.

On September 22, Korea men’s U-16 national team defeated Malaysia 3-0 in the AFC U-16 Championship. The match was held in PJN stadium located in Goa, India. As Oman and Iraq drew 1-1, however, Korea failed to qualify for the quarterfinals. Korea is ranked 3rd in the group C with 1win, 1 draw, 1 loss and goal difference 2. In this tournament, top two teams of the group proceed to the quarterfinals.

Korea needed to win Malaysia with a big margin as they had 1-2 loss against Iraq and 0-0 draw with Oman. Therefore, Coach Seo Hyowon introduced an aggressive lineup. Cheon Seonghoon, Park Jeongin, Kim Dongbum and Jeon Seungmin were in the starting lineup....
