EAFF Announces the Date and Venue of the EAFF E-1 Football Championship 2017 Final Japan

The East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) announced the Date and the Venue of their Flagship tournament, EAFF E-1 Football Championship 2017 Final Japan (previously knowns as EAFF East Asian Cup/EAFF Women’s East Asian Cup) planned to be hosted in 2017.

The dates and the venue of the said tournament will be as follows.

Date: 8 December (Fri) – 16 December (Sat) 2017
Venues: ① TOKYO STADIUM (AJINOMOTO STADIUM)
     ② SOGA SPORTS PARK (FUKUDA DENSHI ARENA)
With the objective of developing football in the region by promoting an active interexchange within East Asia, strengthening unity and solidarity among its members and making contribution to peace through football, the final competitions of both men’s and women’s have been hosted at the same venue during the same period since 2005 tournament in the Korea Republic.
Both men’s and women’s competition will again be hosted simultaneously during the same period utilizing the above venue in Japan.

The four football powerhouses in Asia will compete in this tournament. Welcoming DPR Korea Men’s team and Korea Republic Women’s team, the winner of preliminary Round 2 hosted in Hong Kong on 6-14 November 2016, the Men’s tournament is planned to be competed among China PR, Japan, Korea Republic and DPR Korea and the Women’s tournament is planned to be competed among China PR, Japan, DPR Korea and Korea Republic.
