Hong Kong hosted DPR Korea in the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Qualifiers Final Round for a Group B battle on Tuesday evening. Both teams competed tooth and nail on the occasion but had to settle for a well-fought 1:1 draw after ninety minutes.
DPR Korea came up with the first warning shot of the game on the 7th minute, when Pak Kwang-ryong shook off his markers from the edge of the box before ripping a dangerous shot that just missed finding the target.
The visitors came close again moments later, when Ri Yong-chol connected with a teammate’s free-kick but headed the ball marginally wide.
DPR Korea came very close to opening the score on the 21st minute. Pak Song-chol delivered a teasing free-kick into the Hong Kong penalty area. Pak Kwang-ryong leapt high and nodded the ball towards goal, only to see his effort hit the goal-post and stayed out of the net......
