Hong Kong Women’s Representative Team met up with Chinese Taipei Women on Saturday afternoon in Kaohsiung National Stadium for an international friendly match. The ladies from Hong Kong gave it their absolute best but still fell short 3:1 against the host.
Hong Kong fell behind early in the game. On the 13th minute, Yu Hsiu-chin knocked the ball towards the middle. Lai Li-chin coolly tapped it home and put Chinese Taipei in front 1:0.
Shortly afterwards, Chinese Taipei was at it again. This time, Chen Yen-ping pushed forward with the ball before drilling it towards the Hong Kong net, only to witness her effort went wide off the intended target.
Chinese Taipei continued with the pressure and doubled its lead on the 26th minute. Lee Hsiu-chin broke loose down the right side and delivered a teasing cross to the Hong Kong goal-mouth. Lai Li-chin took care of the rest and knocked the ball home with ease. It was now 2:0 for the home side......
