Hong Kong Football Association is delighted to announce that Mixu Paatelainen will join HKFA as the new head coach of the Hong Kong Senior Representative Team.
Paatelainen is originally from Finland and played for European football clubs such as Dundee United, Aberdeen, Bolton Wanderers, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Hibernian. The Finn also appeared in more than seventy international fixtures for Finland and scored eighteen goals. Retired from playing in 2005, Paatelainen channeled his focus on coaching and took over the coaching reins at Hibernian, Kilmarnock and Dundee United and Thai side Ubon Umt United in the next decade. In addition, Paatelainen also had four years of experience as the head coach of the Finland national team......
