Japan's dominance began as early as the 12th minute with Kotono Sakakibara opening the scoring, with Sakura Yamauchi and Honoka Hamano etching their names on the scoresheet in the 23rd and 27th minutes, just before Hamano doubled her tally two minutes before half-time.
Chinese Taipei had little chance against a Japanese side that kept pushing forward with Ayumi Yamada and Arisa Suzuki finding the back of the net in the 38th and 47th minutes......
