Hong Kong met up with Cambodia on Thursday evening in National Olympic Stadium, Phnom Penh, Cambodia for its first match in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 & AFC Asian Cup 2023 Preliminary Joint Qualification Round 2 Group C. Hong Kong scored the opening goal in the match but could not hold on to its lead, eventually settling on a 1:1 draw with the Cambodia.

Barely a minute into the game, Hong Kong nearly opened the score, as Ju Yingzhi’s corner-kick found teammate Andrew Russell. The latter soared high but sent his header over the Cambodia goal. Hong Kong missed out on a great chance to open the score.

It was still Hong Kong afterwards. On the 13th minute, James Ha fired from the top of the box but could not hit the target with his effort......
