Hong Kong and DPRK clashed heads in Jalan Besar Stadium, Singapore on Saturday afternoon for a crunching battle in AFC U-16 Championship 2020 Qualifiers Group I. Hong Kong put up a courageous fight against a strong DPRK side but still suffered a 0:4 loss against its opponent.
DPRK applied great pressure towards the Hong Kong goal right from the get-go. Early in the game, Yom Chol Gyong, Choe Ryong Il and Choe Song Jin all had great scoring chances but could not locate the intended target.
DPRK nearly drew first blood of the game on the 11th minute. Kang Won found himself on the receiving end of a teammate’s centering pass and pulled the trigger at the back-post but fired the ball wide......
