Beijing: The Chinese Football Association (CFA), in collaboration with HUAAO (a Chinese sports industry resource trade service platform) and Douyin, a social media platform, has launched an online grassroots football programme titled “Football for All Challenge”, which aims to strengthen the public enthusiasm for football during this challenging period.

From China PR legend Sun Wen, head coach of the men’s team Li Tie and women’s head coach Jia Xiuquan, to the current football stars and fans in China PR, the project has attracted more than 1,500 football enthusiasts who uploaded short videos of their skills such as 1v1, free kicks, dribbling and ball control on Douyin under the #FootballforAllChallenge. A total of 16 players from the CFA Super League (CSL) clubs have been selected as ambassadors of this activity to share their football experiences through clubs’ accounts.

In line with the China Sport General Administration’s objective to “Promote National Fitness”, the videos of the programme, which started from August 8 in commemoration of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, have garnered more than 100 million views with the most popular video receiving 244K likes and 9,858 comments. .....
