Korea Football Association (KFA) has appointed coach Park Kyunghoon as Chief Execuctive Officer. The newly appointed CEO will take office upon approval of the Executive Committee on 27 January.
On his appointment of Park as the new CEO, KFA President Chung Mong-gyu stated: “He has what it takes to sort out everything happening inside and outside the organisation, with his rational disposition and flexible communication skills. I also think that he is the man who understands KFA’s major projects in the future.”
Park is regarded as the right person for the new role, with his rich experience as player, coach and professor, as well as a unique approach to Korean football from an objective perspective. He was a one-club man for Pohang Steel from 1984 to 1992, whilst representing Korea Republic at two FIFA World Cups – Mexico 1986 and Italy 1990. .....
