Pune: Korea Republic may have secured their place in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022™ quarter-finals, but Ji So-yun wants to test her mettle against defending champions Japan in their final Group C tie on Thursday.

Korea Republic currently sit in second place in the group after their 2-0 win over Myanmar, with Japan in pole position on goal difference after beating Vietnam 3-0 on Matchday Two.

The Taeguk Ladies struggled to breach Myanmar’s sturdy defence in the first half at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex on Monday, but began finding more opportunities after Ji’s introduction in the 34th minute.
