Kuala Lumpur: Japan will head into next week’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia/New Zealand 2023 draw as the continent’s highest ranked team among the six Asian sides to have qualified.

Japan, who will be seeking to win the FIFA Women’s World Cup title for a second time, were unchanged at 11th spot in the latest ranking.

DPR Korea, who did not qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Finals, remain Asia’s highest ranked team at 10th while co-hosts Australia dropped one spot to 13th.

AFC Women's Asian Cup India 2022™ champions China PR, also bound for the FIFA Women’s World Cup, moved up one spot to 15th.

Korea Republic, Vietnam and Philippines, also set to be in the October 22 Australia/New Zealand 2023 draw, are ranked 17th, 34th and 53rd respectively.
