Hong Kong: Phnom Penh Crown emerged the league champions for a record eighth time by defeating Boeung Ket 5-0 on a thrilling final day of the Cambodian Premier League season after three teams went into it with a chance to clinch the title.

In China PR, Brazilian striker Marcao scored a league-leading 23rd goal of the campaign as Wuhan Three Towns established a three-point lead at the top of the Chinese Super League following a 4-0 win over Cangzhou Mighty Lions on Sunday.

Kitchee SC are through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup in Hong Kong after overcoming Sham Shui Po while Southern reduced the deficit to leaders Lee Man to two points in the league.

China PR: Wuhan Three Towns three points clear of Shandong

Wuhan Three Towns retook the lead of the Chinese Super League after they breezed past Cangzhou Mighty Lions with a 4-0 victory on Sunday, powered by goals from Davidson, Nicolae Stanciu, Deng Hanwen and Marcao.

Cangzhou, however, were in much better form earlier in the week as they defeated Three Towns’ title rivals Shandong Taishan 3-2 with a hat-trick from Jose Kante. Shandong are now three points behind the leaders, but with a game in hand.
