The East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) held its 71st Executive Committee Meeting in a hybrid format on 20 August 2023.

The matters discussed and approved were as follows;

(1) Minutes of the 70th EAFF Executive Committee Meeting conducted online on 2 June 2023 were approved.

(2) Inspection Report by the Chairman of EAFF Organising Committee Meeting was presented to the EAFF Executive Committee.

(3) General Secretary reported the EAFF U-series Branding and it was approved by EAFF Executive Committee.

(4) The agenda of the 5th EAFF Extraordinary Congress on 31 October 2023 was approved.

(5) The request by the Chinese Taipei Football Association to replace their representatives in the EAFF Standing Committees was approved.

(6) It was agreed that clear guidelines for the criteria and recommendation process of the EAFF Honorary Members was needed. Suggested guidelines are to be proposed by the Secretariat in the next meeting.

(7) EAFF Executive Committee was updated on the recovery status of Guam FA from the Super Typhoon Mawars.
