Kuala Lumpur: Takuma Asano found the back of the net twice in Germany on Friday to help VfL Bochum post their first victory of the 2023/24 Bundesliga season while his Japan teammate Junya Ito hit the winner in Reims’ 1-0 win against Nantes in France on Sunday.

Australian duo Steph Catley and Caitlin Foord impressed in England with the former scoring from a Foord assist as Arsenal edged fellow Women's Super League title contenders Manchester City 2-1 while Korean attacker Hwang Hee-chan was involved in his eighth goal of the season for Wolves in the Premier League.
