Korea Republic men’s national team have failed to extend their lead at the top of the qualifying group after a stalemate with Jordan.

Hong Myungbo’s charges drew 1-1 with Jordan in their eighth match of Group B in the third round of Asian Qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup staged at Suwon World Cup Stadium on Tuesday. Lee Jaesung opened the scoring after just five minutes, before Mahmoud Al Mardi restored parity on the half-hour.

The result left the hosts with a slim lead at the top of Group B with 16 points from eight games, including three 1-1 draws in as many outings previously. Korea Republic are set to face Iraq on the road on 5 June, and then Kuwait at home five days later. .....
