Jeddah: Korea Republic bounced back in style to defeat Afghanistan 6-0 in their AFC Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 Group C tie at the King Abdullah Sports City Hall Stadium on Monday.

The win reignited Korea Republic’s campaign and they will book a spot in the knockout stage by avoiding defeat against Yemen in their final group fixture on Thursday. Afghanistan will meet already qualified Indonesia.

Korea Republic got off to a bright start, taking the lead in the third minute when Jung Hee-jung was the first to react after Jin Geon-young’s header was blocked from inside the box off a corner. .....
