Chiang Mai: Iraq turned on the power to defeat Mongolia 5-2 in their AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ Qualifiers Group B match on Thursday.

With four points in the bag, the win sets Iraq up nicely for a crunch match against Thailand on Sunday with Mongolia only in action again on Wednesday when they face the group hosts.

Mongolia needed only eight minutes to go in front when Iraq custodian Khalat Alzebari failed to hold on to Ulzibayar Badamkhatan’s corner kick, allowing Munkhzul Bayanmunkh to knock home the rebound. .....
