Sydney: Ante Milicic applauded his China PR squad as they marched into the quarter-finals of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ with a 3-0 win against Uzbekistan in their second Group B fixture at the Western Sydney Stadium on Friday.

Following the 2-0 victory in their opening game against Bangladesh, Milicic stuck to his word of juggling the starting line-up, fielding as many as nine new faces.

“We made a lot of changes to the lineup, which was always the plan, and now in two games we have used 23 players,” said the former Sydney United forward. “This is the scenario we have prepared for a while and I am pleased with how things worked and our ability to control the game. .....
