Sydney: Come Saturday, Yui Hasegawa will be playing in her second AFC Women’s Asian Cup™ final and the determination to add the Australia 2026 title to the 2018 triumph is as high as it can possibly be.

The midfielder - recognised as one of the best in the world - was part of Japan’s title triumph at Jordan 2018 but vividly remembers the disappointment of four years ago when the Nadeshiko were knocked out by China PR in the semi-finals.

“In the last Asian Cup, we lost in the semi-final and it was really frustrating for me so I’m really happy to get to the final again,” said Hasegawa. “I know that it’s not easy to get a title. Fortunately, we have made it this far but we are not satisfied. We will try our best to show our football, hopefully we can win. .....

"We’ll leave everything on the pitch and excited to give everything to bring the trophy home. Your support means everything, keep cheering us on,"
