Korea Republic's FIFA World Cup 26™ campaign came to an end after they finished third in Group A with one win and two defeats and missed out on a place in the Round of 32.

Under head coach Hong Myungbo, No. 24 Korea Republic were beaten 1-0 by No. 60 South Africa in their final Group A match of the FIFA World Cup 26™ at Estadio Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico, on 25 June (Korea time). Korea had begun their campaign with a 2-1 comeback win over Czechia on 12 June, but a 1-0 defeat to Mexico seven days later was followed by another loss on the final matchday, leaving the Korea Republic with a 1-2 record.

In the other Group A fixture played simultaneously, Mexico defeated Czechia 3-0. Mexico topped the group with nine points (three wins), while South Africa finished second with four points (one win, one draw and one defeat). Korea Republic placed third on three points (one win, two defeats, goal difference of -1). Czechia, with one point (one draw and two defeats), finished bottom of the group and were eliminated. .....
