The East Asian Football Federation Announces the Venue for the EAFF East Asian Cup 2015 and the EAFF Women’s East Asian Cup 2015

The Executive Committee of the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) has decided to award Wuhan city to host the
final competitions of the EAFF East Asian Cup 2015 and the EAFF Women’s East Asian Cup 2015 in their 43rd EAFF
Executive Committee meeting held on 31 August, 2014 in Chengdu.

The EAFF East Asian cup and the EAFF Women’s East Asian Cup is the flagship competition held every two years.
The four top men’s teams (China PR, Korea Rep., Japan and the winner of the Preliminary Competition Round 2
(Preliminary R2), hosted in Chinese Taipei this coming November) and the four top women’s teams (China PR, DPR
Korea, Japan and the winner of the Preliminary R2), in the most competitive region in Asian football will compete
in a 9 days round robin tournament hosted in Wuhan city from 1 August to 9 August next year.

“The EAFF is delighted to award and to entrust Wuhan city in staging our flagship tournaments next year. We are
confident that Wuhan will not only live up to our expectations but will deliver a successful and memorable
tournament which will be cherished in the EAFF history” says Mr. Zhang Jian, the president of the EAFF.

Mr. Fu Xiang, the General Secretary of the Wuhan Football Association says, “We are honored to be able to host
such an international and prestigious tournament in our beautiful city of Wuhan. With our strong government
support and passionate fan base, we will guarantee to deliver more than what is expected and will welcome all
teams, officials and the fans visiting the tournament with our warm and sincere hospitality.”
