A hard-fought 2-2 draw against New Zealand in their final Group A fixture on Monday was enough to send China through to next phase of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Wang Lisi’s 41st minute penalty saw the two sides go into the interval on level pegging after Rebekah Stott had given New Zealand a 28th minute lead. Wang Shanshan’s header on the hour mark put China 2-1 up but the advantage was to last just four minutes as Hannah Wilkinson earned a share of the spoils for the Football Ferns.....
