A late goal by Chan Siu-ki was all Hong Kong needed to snatch a crucial away victory in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia – AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Preliminary Joint Qualification Round 2, as Hong Kong overcame the Himalaya thin air and defeated Bhutan 1:0.

Bhutan generated the first scoring chance of the game on the 2nd minute when C.Gyeltshen intercepted the ball in the Hong Kong half and fired a long-range bomb that went wide.

Hong Kong tried to seek the first goal and came close on the 5th minute when Cheung Kin-fung’s corner from the right-side was headed high by Chan Siu-ki in the Bhutan box.

Hong Kong nearly broke the game open on the 12th minute when Cheung Kin-fung’s teasing curler from the right-flank just narrowly missed hitting the target.....
