Kuala Lumpur: It has been more than a year since Joern Andersen took over as head coach of the DPR Korea national team, but the Norwegian believes he has made significant progress since making the move to Pyongyang last May.
DPR Korea face Lebanon in their first home game of their AFC Asian Cup qualifying campaign on Tuesday evening having picked up a point in their meeting with Hong Kong in June as they attempt to qualify for the Finals of the continental championship for a third tournament in a row.
“We knew Hong Kong from before because we beat them in Hong Kong 1-0 in the East Asian Championship qualification games last year, but that was another game,” he said.
“We played in the new stadium and the weather was very bad and it was raining for one week before, so the field was wet. We were the better team, we had the best chances but we had to make the goal......
