As the AFC Elite Youth Scheme continues to grow, Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) announced that we have received the qualification from Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and now is a full member of the AFC Elite Youth Scheme.

To further the development of football in Hong Kong, HKFA has established a comprehensive Strategic Plan “Visions 2025”, which focuses on a wide range of areas such as organizational structure, youth programmes, talent development, competitions, academy facilities, philosophies and others. HKFA is also committed to develop a “Hong Kong Football Culture” which can be able to transform youth players to U23 and senior teams more effectively.

Apart from that, the Youth League is highly popular among players in Hong Kong. To further strengthen the talent pool, HKFA has set up a Talent Identification project for the first time to spot promising players in schools, leagues and competitions for the U10 to U12 age-groups. At the same time, HKFA is also supporting the youth academies with other important services such as sports science, medicine and psychology consultation while working closely with professional league clubs, so that young talents will be more readily identified. .....
