Back’s heroics in the first half at the Pathum Thani Stadium proved enough for Korea Republic to book an all-East Asian showdown against Japan, who impressed in a 3-0 win against Islamic Republic of Iran in their semi-final.
With the match locked at 0-0, the Korea Republic No 8 stunned Uzbekistan in the 31st minute with a free-kick which sailed through a packed six-yard-box before settling into the bottom left corner of the net.
