Kuala Lumpur: Australian international Martin Boyle claimed his second brace in a row for Hibernian while Japanese star Kyogo Furuhashi’s double leaves Celtic sitting pretty at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Japan’s Koki Ogawa and Shunsuke Mito also left their mark in the Dutch league with a goal apiece while the rest of the Asian contingent put their best foot forward in the Italian, German and French leagues as well as the English FA Cup.

Scotland: Boyle makes it two for two

Martin Boyle scored the opening goal for Hibernian in the 27th minute in their 3-1 win against Motherwell, with compatriot Nectarios Triantis scoring the second three minutes later.

Kyogo Furuhashi scored in the 40th and 81st minutes in Celtic’s 4-1 win over Ross County to take his season’s tally to 10. His compatriot Reo Hatate played the full match, as did Korea Republic’s Yang Hyun-jun. Australian national Josh Nisbet started for Ross County. .....
