Korea Republic men’s national team have failed to extend the lead on top of their group after a stalemate with Oman in Goyang.

Hong Myungbo’s charges drew 1-1 with Oman in their seventh match of Group B in the third round of Asian Qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup staged at Goyang Sports Complex on Thursday. Hwang Heechan’s 41st minute opener was cancelled out by Ali Al Busaidi with ten minutes remaining.

The result put the hosts three points clear at the top of Group B ahead of their match against Jordan at Suwon World Cup Stadium on Tuesday. Jordan are currently in the second place with 12 points along with Iraq, with Oman, Kuwait and Palestine chasing the leaders. .....
