Greetings to all the members and football fans in the EAFF family!

It gives me the great pleasure to welcome you all to the 2015 EAFF East Asian Cup and Women’s East Asian Cup Final Competitions. In less than two weeks, the competition will officially kick off in the city of Wuhan, China. Wuhan, known as ‘the city of river’, deeply-rooted in enthusiastic football environment, is ready to stage this flagship tournament of EAFF in high excellency.

This year’s final competitions will witness four men’s teams and four women’s teams, respectively from China, Japan, Korea Republic and DPR Korea, competing for the trophies (men’s and women’s) representing the highest honour of East Asian football. In recent years, those teams achieved impressive results in different level of international tournaments worldwide. Now they are here in Wuhan to create new glory. We have every reason to look forward to a significantly appreciable tournament. I wish all the participating teams the very best in their preparations and play their best football during the competitions.

On behalf of the EAFF family, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Chinese Football Association for hosting the competition. Football is inherently nostalgic, and matches held here in history have left numerous unforgettable memories for fans. This time, I sincerely wish the host city Wuhan may contribute to this EAFF tournament for everyone who cares for football not only with its professional organization, but also with its warm reception and hospitality that extended to every EAFF member.

My sincere appreciation also goes to participating member associations for their cooperation for sending their top national teams to this competition and to our partner Dentsu for its long time support and commitment to EAFF competitions.

Dear all football fans, I hope all of you enjoy our 2015 EAFF East Asian Cup and Women’s East Asian Cup Final Competitions in China. May this tournament enlighten your passion for football!
